Early registration for Ft. Collins Bradley Method Natural Childbirth Classes
Congratulations on your pregnancy!
You are already taking proactive steps toward educating yourself about a healthy pregnancy and birth! Taking a Bradley class is ideal near 20-25 weeks gestation, but save your spot now! Contact me anytime at lorinsy@gmail.com with questions or for class information. Registration gets you early access into our online Yahoo! community where you can access over 85 files and links about pregnancy, gestation, natural childbirth, labor, delivery, breastfeeding and parenting.
There are several things you can be doing right now to begin laying the foundation for your healthy pregnancy, minimizing risk and increasing your chances of having an unmedicated/low intervention birth:
-
exercise, both stamina building work such as walking, swimming, yoga, etc. and prenatal exercises
-
monitor your nutrition, striving toward 80-100g of protein daily
-
interview your midwife/OB to make sure you have similar philosophies about birth
-
read books on natural childbirth and breastfeeding—my favorites:
-
Husband Coached Childbirth by Dr. Robert Bradley
-
Natural Childbirth the Bradley Way by Susan McCutcheon
-
The Thinking Woman's Guide to a Better Birth by Henci Goer
- Birth: The Surprising History of How We Are Born by Tina Cassidy
-
The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding by La Leche League
- Bestfeeding by Suzanne Arms, Chloe Fisher, Mary Renfrew
-
